Who is Toysoldier Thor - Call me TOY !
My name is Toysoldier Thor or "Toy" as my friends and foes call me.
As a side note: Although this introduction and my ToyTalks blogs has me speaking in the "first person" voice, generally this site speaks of Toy in the "third person" narrative voice.
So, who is Toysoldier Thor? Let me tell you ...
The name, identity and brand of "Toysoldier Thor" was born back on January 23rd, 2008 when I first logged into SecondLife® (aka SL). Since then, Toy quickly embraced so many of its exciting communities. He immediately fell in love with building content and evolved this interest into establishing a successful presence as a Creator / Store Merchant. In fact, in 2010 LL ranked Toy within the top 7% of monthly revenue earners in SL. His top selling content has been line of sculpty landscape terrain theme packs branded as "Torn Lands". Toy expanded his market by launching his content onto other grids like InWorldz where he has a store.
In April 2010, thanks to inspiration from other amazing creators / artists, he caught the "ARTIST" bug. Toy's art quickly expanded from an SL Photography passion into a full fledged presence as an SL Artist. In 2011 he built a large 5 floor art gallery where he now displays over 80 of his wide range of art works - both 2D wall art and 3D mesh sculptures. His art has been exhibited in several other SL public & private art galleries. His art is uniquely known for providing his "Artist's Comments" into each work. All his work is for sale.
Toy also has passion for both SL Karaoke and following the amazing live music throughout the grid. He started singing at the O'Lounge Karaoke club in August 2008 and is still an active member at this club. He has even performed a handful of live 1 & 2 hour live gigs - calling them Toy's Rockin To Da Radio Dance Parties. As for his love of live music, each night he attends no less than 2 shows and often more. He is well recognized in the audience at many music events - a live music bar fly.
Finally, Toy has been outspoken activist for the evolution of SecondLife® and a vocal spokesperson on the rights and interests of the residents of SL. Many of his blog entries will speak up against poor actions taken by Linden Lab that would hurt its residents or the grid. He participates in LL's weekly group meetings and is an active SL Merchant Forum participant. He has even developed and pushed new ideas for SL like his concept of the VIRTUAL LANDMARKS that LL has since placed on their development waiting list.
